Honor Your Personal Space
Building an emotionally healthy lifestyle includes acknowledging and honoring your physical, emotional, and spiritual space. It is vital to be led by the Holy Spirit in all your interactions. If you do not feel comfortable allowing someone into your physical space, that is okay. You do not have to be forced into a hug or allow someone to be close in a way you are not safe with. On a spiritual level, it is wise not to allow just anyone to pray for or lay hands on you. If you are not feeling comfortable with someone touching you, you are probably feeling that way for a reason. Trust what your spirit is telling you. It also essential to be mindful of what negatively affects your emotional space. You do not have to be available to everyone all the time. If you need space and time to recharge, there is nothing wrong with that. If you notice that following certain people on social media are bothersome to you, take a break from it. Ask God to reveal to you why you feel that way. You must honor what you are feeling physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
